Shoe Fresh is both fact acting and quick
drying, simply shake can well before use, to disinfect and
sterilize, spray several short bursts into the footwear and
allow to dry off.

What is Athlete's Foot?
Athlete's foot is a common fungal infection. It can make the
skin between your toes flaky and itchy. The fungus that causes
athlete's foot is a spore that can survive for up to 2 years.
The fungus thrives in conditions that are moist, warm and
dark. Therefore shoes and footwear are the ideal environment
for reproducing the bacteria.
Anyone can can get athlete's foot. About 1 in 7 people in
the UK have it at any one time.
Causes
There are several dermatophytes that can cause athlete's
foot. The most common is trichophyton rubrum. These fungi
live on human skin and may be present without you being aware
of it. However, under certain conditions the fungi are able
to multiply and cause infection, in warm enclosed environments
e.g. between your toes. Athlete's foot is contagious and can
be spread through direct contact, through a cut or abrasion
of the foot or indirectly through footwear, towels, the floor
etc.

In the late 80's we supplied a quality air freshener to a
local bowling alley, they were pleased with the performance
of the product & when re-ordering explained that they
were using it for spraying into the bowling shoes that they
hired out. The only problem that they found was that it was
taking several hours to dry off.
We then looked into the possibility of a product to meet
the market needs. The frequent usage of footwear eventually
causes unpleasant odours to form, primarily as a result of
bacterial decomposition of the sweat produced by foot sweat.
Footwear is thus the ideal breeding ground for bacteria along
with the fungicidal problems which spread infections such
as TINEA PEDIS (Athlete's Foot).
The use of simple masking from perfume sprays (air fresheners)
has not proved an effective way of dealing with footwear which
is in constant communal use, such as in Bowling Alleys, Ski
Centres, Ice Rinks, Training Colleges etc. or anywhere where
footwear is hired or loaned out.
The result was that we developed "SHOE FRESH" Shoe
Sterilising Spray to control the problems which are associated
with Mal - Odour & Athlete's Foot.
SHOE FRESH contains a BACTERICIDAL agent
